Questions and answers from the boss man

What did you do before you got into your current business?

Prior to starting One Oak Exteriors, I spent the last decade in various roles for a major storm restoration and roofing company based in Texas. I’ve had the pleasure to work and learn all across the country.

What is your passion in starting this business?

Parker county is a great place to raise a family, I wanted nothing more than to be home with my wife, Kaitlin, and our daughter Lyla. Starting my own company in Weatherford has really allowed me to help my friends, family, and neighbors with their restoration and roofing needs.

What made you decide to switch companies?

The opportunity to build a business and serve my hometown community was the biggest driver. I’ve been across the country helping homeowners, and finally felt it was time to bring my work home. Creating One Oak Exteriors was the first step in making this happen.

How did you get into this field?

Like many people, I kind of fell into my profession. I love helping clients restore their homes after a storm and realized the sense of pride I had when completing a project with a satisfied homeowner.

Having the ability to help customers change the entire look of their home with a new roof, replacing the gutters, and often times changing the entire makeup of their home was what really inspired me, and still does. Helping people navigate this process after hail or wind storm is really fulfilling.

We work with many insurance agents, and most of the time insurance companies do the right thing. But about 20% of our clients have underpaid claims or are flat out denied when dealing with a claim, we have the experience and expertise to help these clients towards the path of resolution in these situations

What do you do in your day to day?

Every day is different, that’s one of the main reasons I enjoy this profession. It’s definitely not a 9-5 by any means, and thankfully my better half understands this. Meeting new customers, assisting repeat customers, and managing the construction of our jobs is what I love. Helping people solve the problems they face with their largest investment is something we take seriously.

What do you look forward to the most in this new business?

Serving our community and helping people protect what matters most to them, their family and the home they raise that family in.

What is the best piece of advice you can give to customers?

Do your best to shop local and ask for references. Also, make sure you have the proper type and sufficient amount of ventilation installed when replacing your roof. Give us a call for a free evaluation or second opinion, we’d b glad to help.

What is something that others don’t know about you or your job?

To us, our customers satisfaction is our number one priority. We go above and beyond to deliver a personalized service tailored to each customer’s needs. You can call me at 6am or 8 at night, we are always available.

Where do you see yourself and your business in the next 10 years?

Our vision is to be Parker County’s best roofing contractor in terms of customer satisfaction and volume of production. By the way of great customer service and quality partnerships with our local supply distributors like what we’ve got with Southern Shingles here in Weatherford, this can be achieved. It’s a team effort in this industry, and partnering with local companies and small businesses owners allows us to continually support our community and support our families.

We love our hometown and we are looking to grow along side it.
